Named GP
From 1st April 2015 GP practices are required to inform patients of a Named GP accountable for their care. As all of our patients are registered with Dr Weatherhead, he will be your named GP. Please note that this does not prevent you from seeing any of the GPs at the Practice, as you currently do.

Summary Care Record
From 1 April 2015 summary information from your medical record will be uploaded to the Summary Care Record (SCR) section of the NHS National Spine.
This is now part of the GP Contract. If we do not comply we would be in breach of our contract and would potentially not be allowed to provide services to our patients.
The information being uploaded includes details of your current medication and any known allergies and adverse reactions. This is uploaded on the basis of your implied consent. Additional information can only be uploaded with your explicit consent.
The SCR will only be viewed by other Health Care Professionals (HCPs) in an emergency or urgent care setting with your explicit consent unless you are unable to give it (for example if you are unconscious).
You are able to opt out at any time, to do this you would need to complete an opt-out form available at the surgery.
Care Quality Commission
The CQC were present at the Practice on Monday 15th September to undertake an inspection of our Service. We were very pleased with how the visit went and received positive feedback on how we run the service.
Our thanks to everyone who took the time to complete the confidential comment cards, which were collected by the CQC team and reviewed as part of the inspection, and also to those who spent time speaking with members of the inspection team.

Comment cards are available in the Practice for you to complete and post in the confidential, sealed comment box. The cards and the post box are situated on our Reception desk. Your comments will be read by the CQC Inspector only.
Thank you.
